Waste Oil Heater - DIY

For a long time I have been researching 'Waste Oil Heaters' for domestic use. I have looked at countless designs including the MEN heater, Turk Burner, Babington Burner, Commercial burners and just about every other variation that is out there.

My ultimate goal is to design and build a Waste Oil Heater that requires no power, can be left unattended for 12 hours and can provide hot air (and hot water!)

I have set myself quiet a challenge but I believe that I am now coming close to a working waste veg oil heater (WVO)

The heater I am basing my design on is one made by an Australian man called Spike (Ozzirt) his waste oil heater is of great interest to me. It uses no electricity, is robust, clean burning and simple in design. It ticks most of the boxes of what I am going to create.

Whilst the above waste oil heater is designed to give out heat from the firebox and for the burner to be situated indoors, my design will have the heater positioned outdoors with a air heat exchanger jacket to take cool air from the house and circulate it around the red hot flu jacket then return it to the house as hot air.
